Meet Randi
My name is Randi, owner and lead choreographer/teacher at FAME Theatricals Honey’s Dance. I believe that your first dance as a married couple is more than mere tradition or a great photo op: it’s one of the first magical moments of your new lives together. My job is to help you create a lasting memory with your first dance, showing your unique love story through personalized choreography and meaningful movement.
Dancing is a skill you can take with you for the rest of your life, so even after you’ve said “I do,” you will be able to step onto any dance floor feeling confident, prepared, and excited to show off your moves.

I’m drawn to the wedding industry because I love a “happily ever after” story. When I can help create a pivotal moment in my clients’ fairy tale weddings, it brings me indescribable joy!
Every couple that I work with is incredibly special, but one that stands out in recent memory is the couple featured in my photos. They are friends of mine, and choreographing their first dance was so fun! I was lucky to have them at my wedding recently, and they were able to see my first dance as well. We bonded through these experiences, and our friendship remains strong to this day.
While I’m qualified to teach many forms of dance – from jazz and hip hop to musical theater – I love working with couples the most because I “specialize” in telling their stories.
One of the reasons I love musical theater dancing so much is because of the strong storytelling elements. Those same elements are crucial when choreographing someone’s first dance – you want your movements to convey your past, present, and hopes for the future. I bring my knowledge in all areas of dance to find the steps and choreography that will best fit you and your new spouse.

Q: Will you help us choose a first dance song if we don’t have one picked out yet?
A: Yes! We love helping you find the perfect song that reflects you both as a couple.

Q: How many lessons will we need?
A: That really depends on how much time you’re able to devote to practice and instruction. We will work closely with you to create and develop choreography tailored to your song, your ability level, and your comfort. We’ll also help you learn how to gracefully improvise!

Q: Where do the lessons take place?
A: Lessons can take place at our studio in the Lynbrook/East Rockaway area, or at your home. Please note that there will be additional charges for travel.
